During a time of oppression, wearing your Sunday best was a form of silent rebellion counteracting social stigmas by making a strong statement with clothing and fashion. Sunday Best was also a religious expression celebrating beliefs. Looks were meant to be powerful statements.
Hair designs for this shoot were carefully curated for this story in harmony with each scene. Natural, bold, halo, ethereal-like, sculpted hairstyles were meant to depict pride and heritage. No limits, no restrictions.
